Well, we’re slightly ahead of the game here in Australia, but it’s US Election day today/tonight, and it’s probably one of the most important elections in the last few decades. Without a doubt, beyond the norm, the two options for President offer two very different pathways into the future with ramifications for the world beyond the US.
Interestingly, I noted a news article the other day that suggested that if the world was permitted to vote, Obama would win in a massive landslide. That’s an interesting thing, in my view, and emphasizes the way in which the Bush years have influenced the world scene so hugely…

I agree it will be an interesting night and result. The result has the power to change the world for good or bad. Imagine how differently the world might be now if the Bush v Gore result was different in 2000?

Huge election. In some ways perhaps just as important for us in Australia as our own election was. Looking forward to being intermittently glued to the TV/internet over the next 24 hours with a mixture of equal parts hope and anxiety… :P
