a “first” post

well, in my attempts to shift my blog to a new host, for a wide range of reasons which mostly involve the incompetence of others, i myself committed what appears to be a small error in managing to lose all of my previous posts… :-(

so, i’ll try and work that little problem out, but in the meantime it appears that my blog is back up and running, at the very least. sorry to anyone who actually cared about what i wrote about previously, but perhaps losing all that stuff is actually a good thing – a chance to re-create myself?! :-)

  1. One thing that saved me in similar circumstances a while back was a combination the Wayback machine (http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.markobrien.com.au)

  3. hey, dave, that’s pretty cool… only trick now is figuring out how i would get my info across into my new wordpress installation in a way which didn’t involve hours of cutting and pasting…!
