• the temps here are nuts. still 34 degrees (c) at 9.30pm…! #
• Feels weird, but on my way back to school. DTS, here we come… #
• Fairly brain dead after first day in class. It’s always an interesting transition from Senior Pastor to student! :-) #

• Visited the Gaylord Convention Center today. Weird name, I know, but WOW!!! What a totally amazing creation. Very cool place. #
• been weird. waking up way early ever since i’ve been here in dallas. going to bed at midnight and then up at 5, but feeling fine & rested. #
• At Grace Bible Church this morning. My old Greek prof, Dr Hoehner, preached. Great to see him. He actually noted the middle voice in the Gk! #
• Indian for lunch at the Clay Pit. Very nice. Now going to rest – struggling with strange allergy symptoms. Not nice. #
• Just had a little nap that lasted a little too long! Oooops. #

• pretty tired after a busy day. had to finish writing up some stuff, and then hit the shops for stuff for the kids. can’t keep eyes… #
• pretty good sleep, and ready for another hot dallas day. the weekend is here! yaa haw! might have a ballgame lined up for next week. #

• 8.15pm and 36 degrees C here in dallas. Wow! #

• up in dallas and chatting to my beautiful wife via skype. always a bit tricky with time zones. #
• last couple of times i’ve flown over here to the US, i’ve had massive headaches the next day. finally figured it out – dehydration. #

• Trip to Dallas ended up taking 36 hours, including a visit to Fiji due to a sick passenger. 50 hours without decent. Crashed for 12 hours! #
• i’ve had lunch, and taking today to chill and “get in the zone”. feel reasonably ok, although i suspect later might be different. #

• Well, 3 legs to go on the 30 hour odd trip to Dallas, so here we go. First stop – Melbourne. #
• Alright then. Melbourne it is. Just got patted down by an apologetic security guy. Didn’t seem a useful exercise. #
• Dagnabbit – flight to LA has been delayed 2 hours, which means I miss my coonection to Dallas. The adventure begins… :-/ #
• All I can say @cherylsmith999 is double dagnabit!!! There are limits to how long anyone wants to sit in Melbourne! #

off to Dallas in a few hours for another doctoral course. i’m looking forward to it a great deal for a bunch of reasons. it’s always good to get out of your “box”, be challenged and expanded in your thinking (which is bound to happen when you’re sitting in a room with guys who are smarter than you), and connect with old friends and colleagues.
