WA Gas Crisis

the recent explosion up north which apparently brought about a major crisis in gas supplies to business and possibly households seems amazing to me… can it really be that all of our gas energy supply eggs were wrapped up in a single plant?! that seems unbelievable! surely someone would have had the planning awareness to think through the issues of that kind infrastructural limitation. in a state with our levels of these sorts of resources, it just seem incredible that a single plant failure should result in this kind of situation.

two types of people

my old rugby coach used to declare that there are three kinds of people… those who makes things happen, those who watch things happen, and those who don’t know what the heck happened… (his language was a bit more colourful, but you get the drift…)

came across this one today, and i know this one is totally true…

“There are two types of people: those who’ve lost data and those who will.” — Dan Frakes, MacWorld

true dat…
